Services
Orca Components is your one-stop electronic shop. No matter what your need you can decide to only use Orca Components to source a single part of a complete system. Our services include:
Samples: We can, at a nominal fee (covering shipping and handling), procure samples from all major manufacturers.
Procurement of small, medium and large quantities of single type to complete kits of components:
Researching alternative components: If you are stuck with a single source local supplier or require a cheaper alternative, be it fit-form-function compatible or a design-able replacement, we will attempt to source these parts for you.
Import services: Many times you, the client, will already have sourced the components in a different country but lack the import expertise to have the components shipped. We will facilitate the transfer of funds, securing the stock and handle the import process to your door.
Sheet metal boxes: Send us your drawings and we will get our mechanical engineering affiliates to generate exact CAD drawings and supply you with the metal parts in just about any thickness, size, material and surface finish you can think of. Metal parts can punched and/or laser cut. At a nominal cost we can supply a sample unit.
Design services: Via our electronic design affiliates we can design anything from simple analog circuits to complex digital systems. We can supply from schematic capture, PCB layout, Gerber files to bare PCBs to fully populated circuits. Depending on quantity the client can decide on purchasing ownership of the IP (preferable for unit or small quantity batches), large volume production ( where the design company retains the IP rights) or large volumes with manufacturing rights to the design company and Orca Components. Please note that the procurement process will include formal documentation, including full user requirements. From the requirements the rest of the documents will follow. Only after these documents are signed off by both parties, the quotes are excepted , orders placed will the design process commence.
Programming services: As some of our products include CPU cards, and also considering that many clients lack programming skills, we can provide you with qualified programmers to develop and maintain the software for your application. We also provide secure backup facilities for your product's configuration. The final source and executable/firmware files are stored off-site, fully encrypted, on a backup facility which has 24/7 power with security personnel. We will also monitor manufacturer hardware changes and obsolescence and will advice, well in advance, of actions to be taken. Don't be fooled by our apparent business size. We can even provide engineers to develop qualified code conforming to standards like RTCA-178B, required by many military applications.
Manufacturing: We can provide full manufacturing services including making kits of components, manufacturing of solder stencils, having the boards assembled by hand or machine, testing, packaging and anything else required to provide a fully functional product..
Whatever else is not listed keep in mind that we can probably do it. Via affiliates we can help you with GSM devices, vehicle tracking, quick turn-around development modules, GPRS internet relay services (no APN required) and even such diverse products as HHO generators for fuel saving in vehicles. The sky is the limit. You just need to ask.
